Swans in stone
Stellaris DansTeater
Sat. 12 November 18:00, Frityren, AKS
Swans in stone (new version) is a visually beautiful and energetic dance performance inspired by petroglyphs from Alta and the motif "Two Swans in Stone" which is from petroglyphs outside Belamorsk in the Republic of Karelia. "The performance is a leap from ancient times to modern time, visualised through several scenes embodying facts and imagination. In a universe of movements, dance, colours, joik, song and film, a journey is created on stage.
The performance is further inspired by historical narratives, myths and poetry which, in the face of modern forms, create a new expression. Thematically, the project is created from our traditions and stories. With inspiration from our culture, we create our own story which is played out in a framework with natural elements visualised with the help of scenic elements. The performance is a visual experience more than traditional storytelling.
