Vaktmester (Caretaker) Samuelsen is a performance about two women who give 100% in everything they do. A performance about the benefits and dangers of being a "yes person". A person who always stands up. An optimist on all levels. A time optimist. A person who wants to take in as much as possible in an efficient way, so that there is time to take in even more. This is a notion about the effect society has on man. Will we get superpowers? Or are we just super exhausted?

My name is Maya Mi Samuelsen. I was born and raised on Karlsøy in Troms, here I have danced in "fjærsteinan" for longer than I can remember. I have my education from the School of Contemporary Dance in Oslo, and graduated in autumn 2012. I work from my own life experiences and am known for promoting political themes that engage me through my art.
