North Land
William Petit
Old scratchy records. Given recognition, festive moments on the train somewhere between Kosice and Györ. Nights in the Serbian bars in Szeged. The dark magic of the gypsy villages… A trip in the east, in the regions without clear borders, where the music enchants you, attracts you and carries away. Charmed by the music, the incompatible elements and the fragments of dance get playfully entangled in the festive mood.
North Land has been adapted for the Finnish dancers from the previous work of William Petit, Eastland ñ Nomade Cabaret, which has been performed throughout the world already for more than a hundred times.

This group is entering Norway straight from Paris, so this is absolutely a performance of international format. They bring both big city tempo and shallow lightness- like a light summer wind, which warms and seduces.
