Barents Dance Network organises its annual meeting as part of DanseFestival Barents in Hammerfest on Thu 11th Nov 2021.
The Network recognises the harshness that Covid-19 has brought to many of us working in the North where meeting other professionals and keeping yourself connected to the sector is not that simple anyway. These days it can sometimes be challenging to keep your motivation and feel that you are part of something bigger than yourself.
This is also affecting the operations of Barents Dance Network and hence the Network members want to raise discussion about the future of the Network. Times have changed. How should the Network change in order to meet the needs of dance artists in Barents? Is the Network still relevant?

Barents Dance Network is an open network whose members share a desire to strengthen the Northern field of dance across borders. As a member you'll get to know other professionals in the Barents region despite the long distances. We organize events and training sessions both online and in person. Together members can plan and organize events in the area. The network is built on volunteering, so each membership is unique!
