Our dream of gathering the performing arts field in the north has come so far that we can unveil both the name and the logo.

Davvi is North Sami and means north. The name reflects that we live and work in a large and complex landscape. Davvi - Center for Performing Arts' most important tasks will be to facilitate professional development, networks and collaboration. The new organisation will contribute to providing good conditions for independent performing artists in northern Norway to perform their work. In terms of content, the organisation is a combination of the best from RadArt - a network for free performing arts and Dansearena nord, a competence center for dance. In the future, the competence center will work for dance, theatre, new circus, performance and other expressions that belong to the field of performing arts.

It is therefore our great pleasure to invite you to mark this important transition. The marking will take place on Friday 12 November at 17.00 at the Arctic Cultural Center.

We have put the marking at the same time as DanseFestival Barents is closed. This means that you have the opportunity to see Elle Sofe Sara's performance Vástádus Eana - The Answer is Land at 18:00 at Arctic Culture Center.
