Tabanka Dance Ensemble specializes in the socio-rhythmic practices of Africa and the Caribbean and creates engaging virtuoso rhythmic performances that simultaneously address current social issues. As the only player in Norway, Tabanka has fully professionalised virtuoso African aesthetics dance artists who at the same time have solid competence in youth and community work and artivist practices (art as activism).
