EVA - a dance performance. A staging of a 77-year-old lady's first encounter with contemporary dance. A low-key, everyday story of the small and the big things, the close and the universal, about the past and the present and about exploring what the physical body holds in terms of possibilities, limitations, memories and emotions.
Over time, choreographer Maria Landmark has met her own mother in the studio. They have danced, improvised, tried and fumbled. Both have been far outside their comfort zone, felt on thin ice, but still had a desire to express something that lies there. Confirm that dance has no age and that it's never too late to express yourself. Because everything is already in there somewhere, even if it may not have been allowed to come out before.
On stage, she has with her musician and songwriter Petter Carlsen, who has both created new music and drawn inspiration from his own archive.
