VÄVEN
DANSINITIATIVET
5 & 6 november kl. 10:00 & 11:30 - School performances
Through the astonishing possibilities of the circus and the abstraction of dance
VÄVEN is a performance art piece based on and inspired by weaving as craft, work and place in society. It is a meeting between the movement-based stage art and the weaving textile art.
Through the astonishing possibilities of the circus and the abstraction of dance, we move under, over, through and together with the loom and its fabric. We let the body bask in the sun, tread, feed forward and roll between the alternately calm and heavy moments in the fabric's creation.
We talk and move based on the children's thoughts about the soft material and the experience of embodying the various movements that the loom and the fabric form together. What place do the soft have in our society today? How do we value craftsmanship and what place does it have in our industrial Norrbotten?
Target group: from 7 years
Length: 30 min.
