How can an object carry movement – and how can a movement itself become an object?
In this open exploration, we examine the meeting point between choreography and object work, where both objects and movements are understood as living material: not only pointing to something else, but acting, affecting, and creating in the space.
Objects are not treated as props but as partners – carriers of time, memory, and relations. Bodies meet as archives that can be opened, shared, and rewritten collectively.
We will move, draw, write, and converse – two hours where both playfulness and seriousness have their place. This is a space for professional practitioners to exchange experiences, open new pathways, and build connections across artistic languages.
For simplicity, we call it objectography – a practice that exists in the margins, at the edges, far out on the periphery. Definitely not in the centre. There, in the shadows, in what almost disappears, choreography and objects trade places and give each other new ways of existing.
The Space is led by curator Alexandra Kremenets, with dance artist Gull Øzger as co-creator.
Part of the artistic project MOTher_LAND, developed in collaboration between GullBakken, Stellaris DansTeater and Gallery Nordistica.
