RYPPÄITÄ! - LA GRAPPE

RIIKKA KOSOLA - FESTIVAL PROFILE 2024 & 2025

Thursday 6 November 19:30. Ole Olsensalen, Arktisk kultursenter.

La Grappe is a female ensemble that folds itself like an improvisational game. Every performer knows the rules, plays for their own as well as collectively. This piece is created in 2017-2019 in Finland and France, and aimed for an immersive experience. La Grappe processes the wholeness of female energy and female sexuality, in an intergenerational context. Every crossing of a border creates an embodied reaction rage, anger or frustration under the beautiful pink surface. La Grappe gives a space to claim the right to the borders as well as finely stated revenge.
The embodiment here is about the openness of discussions around the beauty versus the shame of being a human with a womb and the blood related.

The audience is invited to change the place and the perspective during the piece, being able also to leave and come back if wished so.
