Saturday 8 November 18:00. Frityren, Arktisk kultursenter.
Dance performance about the power of the wind and nature, about how wind turbines affect nature, people and birds. With movement, voice, text and music we express nature's wildness, brutality, power and calm. Through art we rebel against the destruction of large natural areas. We perform our own rituals and our own battle dance for the untouched and endangered nature. In this performance we give a voice to those who are affected, upset and need to be heard.
Why are eagles considered sacred? How much wilderness is there? How many people know what an eagle's song is? Is it more common to know what a wind turbine sounds like than eagles? What do we get in return for our many wind turbines? How long does it take for nature to recover after major interventions? Should we dump mining sludge right into the fjord? Who benefits from the destruction of nature? Can we sail without wind?
