The theme for the festival 2006 is dance and movement in different forms and settings. Therefore the festival will host performances with content of diversity: various presentations of movement in dance for stage, theatre and "new circus". Hammerfest Kulturskole (Hammerfest Culture School) manages the child and youth activities through a child and youth festival during DanceFestival Barents in cooperation with Bootleg. DanceFestival Barents is directed by: Stellaris DanceTheatre/Solveig Leinan-Hermo. The Child and Youth Festival is managed by Hammerfest Kulturskole/Tom Wullf.
