Druzhba was established in January 1964 and is based in Arkhangelsk. The ensemble engages many boys and girls from 5 to 20 years and provides further study in classical ballet, folk dance, modern dance and choreography.
The ensemble Druzhba culturally engaged in the city and region. They tour and represents Arkhangelsk in Russia and abroad at St. Petersburg, Moscow, Kirov, Sochi, Murmansk, Alushta, Tromsø, Hammerfest and Rovaniemi to name a fes. They also welcome visitors from all over Russia, which has resulted in a performance tradition that they describe as "in a circle of friends." They have received many awards and won many competitions.
In recent years the ensemble has had a close and fruitful collaboration within the Barents Region: educators participating in seminars, workshops, and collaborations with choreographers and ballet masters of the region.
